Growing In Door... Toys and Fun

The kittens have a lot of fun with their toys...  Some of these toys are newly bought for them.  Some inherit from Dicky. Some are home made...

The Family Tree...

Where are all these kittens coming from?  We have moved to this home for less than 3 years.  We brought our cat Dicky together with us... Unfortunately, Dicky, who has been with us for 17.5 years, left us on July 2012.

The kittens story started with their Grandma/Mom...  She came to our front yard on December 2011...  She looked hungry and our maid Annie gave her some of Dicky's cat food.  Later on, we found out that the poor cat was left behind by her master who moved out from our complex.

The poor cat was not very friendly even though she came by and picked up food from us.  Around spring time 2012, we found her pregnant and later gave birth to Wonkie and FaFa.

The two kittens were so cute and lovely...  However, we were in tough time of losing Dicky and we did not spend much time playing and taking care of them.  We only provided them food, water, and toilet so that they would not disturb our neighbors.

Mom got pregnant again and 5 kittens were born in around October.  This time she had her kittens born in an vacant garage.  She came to us for food but the kittens were kept in the vacant garage.  Given the tough condition and traffic in the complex, only two survived.  They were Cheers and Vita. Unfortunately Cheers' leg was hurt by a car and later we could not see her anymore.  Vita is the only survivor in this batch...

The seven kittens that were born in our garage are the babies of FaFa and Vita...  The two kittens that we picked up in our background afterwards are the babies of Mom...

This is the Family Tree of these cats...  Except for the Mom (now Grandma), every one has a nice name...  And all 9 kittens now have new home and live happily with their new family members...  FaFa and Vita are spayed and lived in our garage.  Wonkie and Mom come, eat, drink and go around... enjoying lives :)

The Fate of the Two Kittens...

I called the volunteer Manda and told her that I caught the two kittens and she agreed to pick them up when she brought back the two mothers after their operation...

The two kittens were so stressed that they didn't even eat and drink.  They might hear their mother crying for them during the night...

In the morning, the cage was a mess with water and cat food all over the place.  We picked them out, cleaned them and tried to calm them a bit...

Suddenly, PY, my friend, called and told me that her maid and herself would like to adopt the kittens...  That's great news!  However, PY has three dogs already...  She told me that she could keep the kittens just next to her maid's room.

She came in and pick the kittens up...  We gave them some drink and food, let them played with our three kittens...

And then we brought them to the new home...

In order to keep them away from the three dogs, PY bought the three layers cage that I bought originally for our kittens...

Now the two kittens have a safe home, with food and everything they need...

Well, the three dogs need to get use to their new members in the family...:)

P.S.  At night, the two mothers, FaFa and Vita, came back after the operation.  They were exhausted but looked OK. They cried for their kittens, but in vain.

The Day After

Mother Vita was trapped easily but it took us several hours to get the other mother, FaFa...  She was so smart!  Finally, we had no choice but taking Milky as the prey to trap her...  In the morning, FaFa was exhausted but still angry...

All the newspapers were tore into small pieces since last night...  You can image how frustrated and worried she was...

We thought everything was settled down...  All seven kittens were taken care of, the two mothers were caught and they would be taken to spay around noon time...

We were wrong...  Our maid told us that she found two kittens with grandmother in the backyard!  My goodness, we forgot that the grandmother got pregnant around the same time and now she brought her kittens to our place...

They were so frightened...  I picked up the yellow one but I let him go...  I found them very hungry and I took some baby cat food for them to eat...

They finished all...

Yet the mother (grandmother of our original seven kittens) was not very friendly...

When the volunteer Manda came to pick up Vita and FaFa, I told her the story.  She said I should catch the two kittens and should not let them go...  She even left me a cage just in case.

In the afternoon, PY, my friend came to visit my three kittens.  We brought them out to the backyard...

Suddenly, we found grandmother passing by...

We knew that the kittens should be around...  We brought my kittens in and PY helped me to catch the two new ones. We kept them in the cage Manda left for me...

They were so terrified...  The poor mother were crying and crying for her kittens...:(
